Knowledge, attitude, practices, seroprevalence and vaccination status concerning hepatitis B, hepatitis C, human immunodeficiency virus among health care students

Aim: Students of all departments that serve patients during their education are in the risk group terms parenterally transmitted microorganisms. This study aims to evaluate knowledge level and serologic status healthcare students about viral hepatitis Human Immunodeficiency Virus (HIV) infection.
 
 Methods: A sociodemographic questionnaire consisting 29 questions was applied 262 who presented medico-social outpatient clinic between January 2015 December 2020. Additionally, B surface antigen (HBsAg), antibody (Anti HBs), core HBc total), C virus HCV), HIV (Anti-HIV) serum levels were investigated. The obtained information evaluated with descriptive statistics chi-square test statistical package for social sciences program version 20. Results given as frequency percentage.
 Results: mean age (230 female 32 male) 21.29 ± 2.2 years. According questionnaire, 43.9% stated they had HBV vaccination, while 56.1% not vaccinated. rate student checked antibodies after vaccination 14.1%. While 74% took lessons factors, 26% did take any lessons. laboratory results, Anti HBs positivity found 235 (89.7%). Anti-HBc total 5 (1.9%). HBsAg 2 (0.8%). Anti-HCV Anti-HIV negative our students.
 Conclusion: Our results indicate high prevalence seropositivity among students. result can be explained by successful Turkey. As a preventive medicine perspective, it should ensured studying at these schools trained, screened, guided become immune.
